Advertising Standards Authority

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) promotes and enforces the highest standards in UK advertising by ensuring that advertisers observe the requirements of the broadcast and non-broadcast codes of practice. It is independent of both the government and the advertising industry.

Committee of Advertising Practice

The Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) is the industry body responsible for writing and enforcing the UK's advertising codes - CAP (Broadcast) and CAP (Non-broadcast). The committee for each code consists of representatives and practitioners from agencies, advertisers and media owners.

Marketing Agencies Association Worldwide

MAAW Worldwide, Association of Promotion Marketing Agencies, is a professional association that brings together a select group of agency principals from the world's major markets. It is the "best of the best" striving to be even better.

Incorporated Society of British Advertisers

ISBA represents £6.5 billion of marketing communications spend and is the single body, within the UK, to represent advertisers' interests across all marketing communication disciplines. Founded almost 100 years ago, ISBA's fundamental remit is vigorously to promote and protect the interests of British advertisers. By acting as their 'voice', ISBA influences Government, the media, agencies, consultants, suppliers and other bodies in the marketing communications industry to help create and sustain an environment that maximises the effectiveness of its members' marketing activities.

The Institute of Directors

The Institute of Directors is the leading UK organisation representing individual company directors. The IoD has 47,000 members in the UK, including directors on the boards of three-quarters of the Times Top 1,000 companies, as well as 65 per cent of members who are directors of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Marketing Society

The Marketing Society has over 3,200 members who get together at around 150 different events and meetings each year throughout the UK. The society's prime goal is to champion marketing excellence and, in so doing, be the one professional body to which membership is essential for all senior marketers. A wide and varied programme of events is mounted throughout the year, aimed at responding to the varying needs of the membership - by region, industry sector, management level and special interests.
